Long, deep didgeridoos are not the easiest to play, but they can give a very rewarding, meditative experience. This 2m-long didge is a great example. Played with soft lips it delivers a powerful, rich sound.
The wood is an unknown hardwood, possibly sycamore. It came from the trunk of a long tree I had cut down for another purpose at least a year ago and had been lying seasoning in my garden since then.
The didge took a lot of work to shape and to cut, as I was experimenting with a new cutting method (since abandoned!), so it came out in four separate pieces. The final result is quite special.
